About the role
- Operating a Class A company vehicle, you will navigate designated routes, delivering products with a commitment to safety and on-time performance.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of driving, loading, and unloading. - Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, including delivery logs, invoices, inspections, and hours of service logs.
- Available for around the clock shifts to accommodate freight movements.
Responsibilities
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, including delivery logs, invoices, inspections, and hours of service logs. Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for each delivery.
- Maintain open communication with dispatch, warehouse, and leadership. Report any delays, issues, or changes in delivery schedules promptly.
- We deliver organic produce, high-quality meats and seafood, plant-based proteins, dairy, bakery, wine, and other grocery items to nearly every zip code in 48 states at up to 30 percent off traditional grocery store prices.
- In 2023, Misfits Market acquired sustainable e-grocer Imperfect Foods and now leverages its in-house transportation network to deliver directly to consumers with one of the most carbon-efficient grocery delivery models on the market.
Requirements
- Operation of computer/ internal freight monitoring systems required.
- Flexibility with scheduling and the ability to adapt to changes in delivery routes or schedules.
- Possess a valid state issued driver's license for at least 3 years
- 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience and/or be a graduate of a State certified and Licensed truck driving school.
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively with or without reasonable accommodation
Nice to have
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
- Experience working in a food based environment
