About the role
- Provide independent reviews and acceptance reviews of engineering deliverables and data.
Responsibilities
- Support the assessment of SSCs for manufacturability as well as assembly and integration considerations at the direction of project leads.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform, oversee or assist civil design, such as site characterization, site development, roadway design, and / or plant layout.
- Perform, oversee or assist structural design, such as steel structures, concrete structures, and / or composite structures.
- Perform, oversee or assist architectural design, such as building enclosure design, painting and coating, insulation, waterproofing and / or materials.
- Perform, oversee or assist development of computer-aided design (CAD) models and drawings, such as floor plans, general arrangement drawings, or 3D plant models
- Write and develop design documentation including design basis documents, technical reports, calculations, and drawings in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Perform work in accordance with X-energy quality procedures for design and configuration management to ensure project quality requirements are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/architectural engineering or related degree from an accredited institution.
- Typically, fifteen years of experience in an engineering role required.
- Experience and/or knowledge in a minimum of one of the following areas:
- Experience with site development, grading, roadway, survey, stormwater, hydrology or soil mechanics
- Experience with design of steel structures, concrete structures, or composite structures
- Experience with architectural design, such as claddings, insulation, automation, building components, or waterproofing
- Experience with drafting, such as 2D/3D CAD modeling or Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience with structural analysis using hand calculations and / or finite element analysis (FEA) software programs (e.g., ANSYS, LS-DYNA, ABAQUS, ADINA, OpenSees).
Compensation
