G2IT is seeking a Systems Administrator - Journeyman to support client-facing strategic initiatives and ensure the seamless implementation and maintenance of automated solutions. In this role, you will collaborate on large and complex programs, contribute to high-visibility or mission-critical projects, and help refine the strategic vision for G2IT's IT Service Management operations in support of both the company and our clients.

Install and configure new software releases, perform system upgrades, evaluate and apply patches, and resolve software-related issues.
Perform regular system backups and recovery to ensure data protection.
Maintain data files and monitor system configurations to ensure integrity and performance.
Manage the functionality and efficiency of one or more operating systems.
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, validate and implement critical system patches, and allocate mass storage.
Develop functional requirements through collaboration with end users and coordinate with development teams to implement system enhancements or changes.
