Your Impact The Underwriting Analyst is an early-career role responsible for supporting all aspects of the Private Bank's credit underwriting process.

Analysts focus on data gathering, preliminary financial analysis, exposure tracking, and documentation support.
The position is designed to build foundational credit skills and provide exposure to a wide range of wealth‑driven lending solutions.
Financial & Credit Analysis Support Collect and organize financial statements, tax returns, liquidity reports, and collateral documents.
Support Analysts and Underwriters with initial drafting of memo components and client summaries.
Operational & Execution Support Maintain credit files, internal databases, exposure systems, and workflow trackers.
Support the documentation and closing process by coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
Perform data integrity checks and prepare materials for credit meetings and committee packages.
Within AWM, the Private Bank delivers competitive borrowing and cash‑management products from Goldman Sachs Bank USA, strategically integrated with each client's broader wealth strategy.

1-3 years of experience in finance, credit underwriting, asset based lending, credit analysis, or credit risk required Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and financial statement review.
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, high‑volume environment.

Risk & Controls Ensure that required documentation is collected and maintained in accordance with policy.

Preferred Internship or experience in private banking, corporate lending, wealth management, or credit operations.

Support periodic monitoring activities, including annual reviews, covenant checks, and collateral revaluations.

Assist with marketable securities analysis, LTV calculations, and collateral coverage reviews.
