About the role
- This role works closely with the Senior Vice President of Purchasing to achieve company goals.
- The Associate Frozen Food Buyer provides supply chain and inventory management for promotionally active categories while meeting corresponding financial accountabilities.
- Products are procured in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, store operations, the distribution center, and division office personnel.
- Conduct post-promotional reviews to evaluate results and develop solutions for improvement.
- Manage Accounts Payable variance processes for distribution-sourced items to ensure correct invoicing.
- Maintain all necessary department files and records.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Operations to maintain proper product flow through the facility in a timely manner.
- Access buying systems remotely when necessary to manage responsibilities offsite.
- Written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Visit stores, as required, to monitor programs, gather feedback, and assess implementation effectiveness.
- Marketing/Logistics experience preferred or strong understanding of store operations and merchandising methodologies and practices.
