About the role
- Company Overview Steiner Studios is an award-winning, state-of-the-art film and television production facility at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
- Steiner Studios is one of the largest studios east of Los Angeles and at full buildout will be over 1.6 million square feet on 60 acres.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including filter changes, sensor calibration, equipment inspections, belt adjustments, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, and other systems under the guidance of the Building Systems Engineer.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites and comply with all safety regulations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in commercial buildings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders required to perform maintenance and service.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- technical certification or relevant coursework preferred.
