About the role
- Assist with increased volumes of client installs and escalated requests associated with clinical implementation, especially but not limited to RXB TPA
- Share institutional knowledge and best practices gained through prior service with the organization.
Responsibilities
- Through the Cigna Retiree Encore Program, the role enables the organization to capitalize on proven experience and institutional knowledge while helping maintain service quality and operational continuity during peak workload periods.
- Support quality reviews and validation activities to help ensure accuracy and alignment with documented clinical intent and client requirements as well as adherence to established procedures
- Collaborate with team members, cross-functional partners, and leadership to address workload demands and maintain service-level commitments during peak business cycles.
- Support special projects and operational initiatives as needed.
- Review and interpret client intent, prepare clinical documents, engage clients on a clinical call, obtain final client intent, and submit for configuration
Requirements
- Ability to work with cross functional committees or workgroups
- Clinical expertise and understanding of clinical arena/issues across all points of pharmaceutical care
- Proficiency with operational systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to quickly re-engage and contribute with minimal onboarding.
- Participant in or eligible for the Cigna Retiree Encore Program.
- Previous experience in pharmacy benefit management, health care operations, benefit administration, or a related operational environment.
- Strong understanding of benefit configuration, maintenance processes, and client support operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong commitment to clinical services and company goals
- Previous Benefit Operations experience within Evernorth, Express Scripts, or Cigna.
- Familiarity with case management workflows, clinical implementation, and benefit plan administration.
