About the role
- DUAL North America is seeking an Associate Underwriter for the E&S Property division.
- At DUAL, Associate Underwriters play a key supportive role through the risk underwriting process and expansion of broker relationships.
- In this role, you will assist with account quoting and binding, prepare and distribute various types of communications, and provide quality customer service through the underwriting life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Supporting a team of underwriters within the E&S Property division, you will support underwriters managing non-standard and complex risks.
- Provide backup support for Underwriters when traveling in the market
- Provide customer service and underwriting support to help achieve new and renewal premium goals
- Build relationships with producers with supervision from more senior underwriters

Requirements
- Gather and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account
Nice to have
- Working towards Underwriting Authority, but does not have it yet
- Quote issuance as approved by senior underwriter
- Binder issuance as approved by senior underwriter
- Policy Issuance review
- Conduct inspection review and analysis resulting in appropriate issue identification, and process post inspection changes as necessary
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business or a related field preferred
- 0-1 year underwriter or insurance experience
- Foundational knowledge of insurance principles
Compensation
- $65,000.00-75,000.00
