About the role

This position reports to the NuSil Facility Security Officer and will be based out of Carpinteria, California.

Avantor/NuSil is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to develop & administer security programs in support of our high-performance silicones business serving the Aerospace & Defense industries.

Bachelor's degree (Criminal Justice, Security Management, Legal Studies, Information Technology, Business Administration) with three years of Industrial Security or related experience.
In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of applicable work experience may be substituted.
3+ years of relevant security experience
Must have a working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Must be a US Citizen
Demonstrated understanding of security processes is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Candidate must have and be able to maintain an Active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within the last 6 years.
Familiarity of DD-254 Implementation Requirements.
Proficient with NISS / NCAISS, DISS.
Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced and challenging work environment and must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion, effectively delivering on day-to-day objectives.

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$69,000.00 - $110,975.00 Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
