About the role
- This is a newly created, cross-functional leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of insurance operations and technology.
- As our Insurance Operations & IT Manager, you'll be responsible for the systems, processes, and compliance infrastructure that keep our brokerage running - across Morison Insurance and group of companies.
- This is a role where you'll have genuine ownership and real impact.
Responsibilities
- Own and administer Applied EPIC as our core broker management system - configuration, workflows, user access, data integrity, and reporting
- Manage Pathway for document management and ensure its integration with EPIC is accurate and efficient
- manage broker codes and carrier connectivity including CSIO download standards
- Manage day-to-day relationships with BlueButler and Quandri
- Lead Morison's IT department
- Drive digital transformation initiatives and oversee major IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new platform implementations
- manage vendor relationships with Applied, BlueButler, Pathway, Quandri, and others
- Oversee staff access and data flow across insurance company portals; manage broker codes and carrier connectivity including CSIO download standards
- Manage day-to-day relationships with BlueButler and Quandri; identify and resolve integration gaps across the full platform ecosystem
- Evaluate new technologies and present recommendations to leadership; manage vendor relationships with Applied, BlueButler, Pathway, Quandri, and others
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in insurance brokerage operations, IT management, or a combined role
- Hands-on knowledge of Applied EPIC - including workflows, reporting, policy processing, and system administration
- Familiarity with carrier/company relations, broker code management, and portal administration
Nice to have
- RIBO licence is an asset
- experience with Pathway, BlueButler, Quandri, or CGI compliance is a definite plus
Compensation
- Complete CGI compliance reporting (semi-annual and annual); manage brokerage and location additions/removals
