Responsibilities

  • Support modernization efforts involving legacy VistA/MUMPS-based environments and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Build scalable APIs, microservices, and application components using modern development frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure engineers to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
  • Develop technical documentation including user stories, technical specifications, code documentation, and release notes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on modernization, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • This individual will work closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and DevSecOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications supporting VA modernization objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in Agile environments.
  • Experience with web services, APIs, and application integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with MUMPS-based applications or legacy modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with cloud-native development in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience working in federal government or highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and performance optimization techniques.
  • Relevant Agile, cloud, or software development certifications preferred.

Compensation

  • $122,000 - $166,800 USD
  • LTS shares salary ranges to promote transparency. Compensation ranges are provided for informational purposes, and final compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and role requirements.
