About the role
- Certified and trained forklift operator.
- Operates forklifts to move intermodal equipment on/off chassis and put into/out of storage.
- Operates the yard spotter to assist with moving tanks on chassis and chassis around the depot; such as but not limited to, creating the mount list, positioning equipment to and from the cleaning bays and repair shop.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily inspection log(s) for equipment and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment receives periodic maintenance.
- Fill and deliver material vouchers to production crews.
Requirements
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for role.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Nice to have
- Hi gh school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred minimum of 2 years' ex perience in a similar position
- Possess and maintain current certification in the operations of required forklift and related equipment
- Ability to learn quick ly and attention to detail
- Preferred experience in driving and operating a container lift and/or spotter.
- Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
- Ability to follow spoken and written instruction
- Valid driver's license required
