Responsibilities

  • We provide thought leadership for complex issues through independent analysis, and we deliver practical, useful solutions.
  • As a Cybersecurity Specialist at ANSER, you'll help secure mission-critical systems that support U.S. national security and defense operations.
  • You'll work hands-on with engineering teams, program managers, and government stakeholders to assess risk, implement protections, and ensure compliance in highly regulated and secure environments.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or higher is required for most positions with some positions requiring Secret or Top Secret clearances
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, ideally supporting DoD or federal government programs.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53, RMF, FISMA, or DoD cybersecurity policy.
  • Experience with or understanding of cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, or endpoint protection platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.

Nice to have

  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CAP are a strong plus.

Skills

  • Provide guidance related to cybersecurity capabilities, requirements, processes and policies.
  • Monitor security tools and logs to identify potential threats or anomalous activity.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and readiness reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.

Compensation

  • $53k-$800k
