About the role
- Thea Energy is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to join its rapidly growing team.
- In this role, you will oversee all procurement activities, from requisition to payment.
- Additionally, you will ensure that our supply chain is closely integrated with our FP&A and strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Own the procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring timely availability of critical equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize Thea Energy's procurement processes.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers/vendors including negotiating contracts to secure the best terms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, prototyping, and finance teams to forecast demand for equipment and supplies across projects.
- Analyze prototyping spending, provide insights and recommendations, and lead initiatives to reduce costs.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
- You will collaborate across departments, leading efforts to forecast prototyping spending, optimize procurement processes and manage supplier relationships.
- Your efforts will directly contribute to the organization's efficiency, enabling us to drive forward towards our commercial fusion energy goal.
Requirements
- The company is reinventing the stellarator using computer-controlled arrays of planar coils thereby replacing the intricate, complex modular magnets required in all other stellarator architectures.
- 5+ years of supply chain management experience with a related degree.
- A track record of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and take on new challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in supply chain management tools and software, Excel and PowerPoint, to support data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work closely across cross-functional teams to forecast demand and ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities into project timelines and FP&A activities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in budget management, financial analysis, and supporting finance functions.
Compensation
- Salary range $85,000-$150,000
