About the role
- The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for the development and management of individual and group strength training programs for men and women student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director - Athletic Performance.
Responsibilities
- Provides daily oversight of sports performance programming, and supports coach and student athlete competitive excellence.
- Supports and advances to the Sports Performance team's commitment to evidence-based principles of athletic development.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Compensation
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the day-to-day management of the sports performance program within Duquesne University, the A10 Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Provides daily oversight of sports performance programming, and supports coach and student athlete competitive excellence.
- Serves as coordinator for designated sports: teaches, demonstrates, and supervises proper techniques for strength, speed, conditioning, agility, and flexibility exercise within the program, while maintaining a safe training environment.
- Supports and advances to the Sports Performance team's commitment to evidence-based principles of athletic development.
- Serves as fuel station coordinator, responsible for ordering of inventory, stocking, and maintenance of facility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
