About the role

  • Overview The Risk Control Consultant II serves as a business consultant, helping policyholders improve workplace safety, reduce losses, and strengthen risk management practices.
  • This role will primarily service the Philadelphia area, with additional responsibility for South Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and DC.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and identify injury and loss trends to assist underwriting and insured management in making informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • The consultant partners with insureds across a variety of industries, provides technical guidance, and shares industry expertise with underwriting and senior management to support informed business decisions.
  • Provide risk control consultation and evaluation services to support the selection and retention of new and renewal commercial multi-line business.
  • Assist segment partners in meeting objectives outlined in local and regional operating plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Extremely organized self-starter with strong technical, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Requirements

  • Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CIH, CSP, ARM, or other applicable designation preferred.

Compensation

  • Qualifications 3+ years of insurance industry experience in Workers' Compensation and/or other commercial lines of business, including knowledge of associated exposures, controls, and loss prevention strategies.
