About the role

  • Job Description: Location: Huron, SD Dock Load Specialist Position Overview This position works under direct supervision while performing a variety of shipping, receiving, and material control tasks.
  • This will include handling purchasing rejects, ensuring suppliers have up to date prints, keying transfers, and material handling.
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports to appraise purchasing and manufacturing of goods received relative to identification, type, size, quantity, quality, and dispatch or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing areas.
  • Maintain clean work area and participate in 5s standards

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in material inventory
  • Access computer terminals and process all transactions required for the receiving function

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret blur prints
  • Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
  • Computer skills, equipment operation, tool operation, judgment, interpersonal skills, math, reading and writing
  • Physical Requirements of the Job
  • Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $21.63 to $26.55 hourly.
