About the role

  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, and health maintenance.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.
  • Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.

Responsibilities

  • The Physician Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Lead Physician in compliance with state practice acts and regulations.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, provides home-going instructions, and assists in the continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.

Nice to have

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Physical Job Requirements May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
