Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and supporting the implementation of agreements, protocols, and plans with Indigenous partners and documenting engagement activities in systems such as Borealis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Indigenous relations, consultation, or engagement, with experience in Impact Assessment or environmental regulatory processes.
  • Must be able to travel at least monthly as required by clients within Ontario and Quebec.
  • Traveling to Indigenous communities or meetings with community representatives as required.

  • The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Indigenous Relations Services;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills (professional bilingualism a strong asset);
  • Must be French first bilingual
  • Experience with Impact Assessment or Environmental Assessment projects required;
  • Must reside in Quebec (Montreal or Quebec City) or Toronto and Eastern Ontario;
  • Proven understanding of Indigenous consultation processes and relevant legislation/policies;
  • Demonstrated field experience in engagement, facilitation, and relationship-building;
  • Experience documenting consultation and engagement activities;
  • Familiarity with engagement management software is an asset;
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Indigenous studies, social sciences, environmental planning, or resource management) is an asset;
  • Consulting background strongly preferred;
  • Major Projects and/or regulatory experience;
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with Indigenous communities, governments, and clients;
