Responsibilities
- Carrier Relationship Development - Build, maintain, and expand relationships with qualified carriers through daily prospecting, market engagement, and ongoing performance management.
- Rate Negotiation and Market Analysis - Negotiate competitive transportation rates while monitoring freight market conditions, carrier availability, and industry trends to support profitability and service objectives.
- Operational Execution and Problem Resolution - Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, and Account Management teams to ensure successful shipment execution and proactively resolve service issues, delays, equipment failures, and capacity shortages.
- Carrier Compliance and Performance Management - Onboard, vet, and maintain carrier records while ensuring compliance with insurance, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Track carrier performance metrics and provide market intelligence to support business growth.

- Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, and Account Management teams to ensure successful shipment execution and proactively resolve service issues, delays, equipment failures, and capacity shortages.
- Onboard, vet, and maintain carrier records while ensuring compliance with insurance, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, carrier sales, capacity procurement, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), carrier onboarding platforms, and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
- Familiarity with freight market trends, carrier compliance requirements, and transportation regulations.
Nice to have
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with temperature-controlled (reefer) freight, produce transportation, or other time-sensitive freight preferred.
- Knowledge of USDA, FMCSA, and produce transportation regulations preferred.
