About the role

  • Title: Environmental Engineer Location: Amesbury, MA Job Type: Regular Full-time What's the Opportunity?
  • Anchor QEA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our Amesbury, MA office.
  • This is a full-time opportunity to grow your engineering career while contributing to both local and national environmental remediation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects, including dredging, capping, stream restoration, and wetland construction.
  • Prepare engineering design documents, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations.
  • Contribute to technical reports such as sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and design documentation.
  • Perform environmental sampling of soil, sediment, and water sampling,
  • Provide field support for site inspections and construction oversight.
  • Participate in construction support activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • 6-10 years of experience in environmental remediation, including investigation, design, and construction.
  • Experience with sediment remediation projects (such as dredging and capping) and stream or wetland restoration projects.
  • Experience with project and/or task management including task planning, delegation, review of work by others, and budget tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in MA or NY, or on track to obtain within 1-2 years.
  • Experience with marketing/business development including proposal writing.
  • Experience with client interaction and management.

Compensation

  • $101,259 - $113,917
  • Paid Company and Floating Holidays: 7 paid company and 2 floating holidays annually
  • Sick and Safe Time: 80 hours annually
