About the role
- This position is responsible for conducting virtual and in-person Form I-9 appointments, reviewing employment authorization documentation, assisting new hires through the I-9 process, and maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and university policies.
- Review completed Form I-9s for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, identifying and correcting errors when appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Support Social Security Number (SSN) validation processes by reviewing employee information for accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and partnering with HRIS or Payroll to resolve issues as needed.
Requirements
- Guide employees through the completion of Form I-9, ensuring Section 1 and Section 2 are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email, scheduling systems, and online document management tools.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and meeting deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Form I-9, E-Verify, HRIS, or electronic onboarding systems.
- Familiarity with federal employment eligibility verification requirements and I-9 compliance is preferred but not required.

- Typical Starting Pay: $15.50-$19.25
- Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
