About the role
- As Senior Counsel, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to Fireblocks' product, engineering, and business teams.
- This role blends deep regulatory expertise with practical, business-oriented judgment, and requires close collaboration across Legal, Product, Compliance, Risk, and Commercial teams.
- Working closely with product, engineering, compliance, and senior leadership and C-suite, Legal plays a central role in shaping Fireblocks' global strategy in the rapidly evolving digital assets ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Serve as legal advisor to product teams, supporting the design, launch, and scaling of new products and features across global markets
- Identify, assess, and advise on regulatory and legal considerations affecting product design, functionality, distribution, and user experience
- Draft, review, and maintain global and localized product terms, disclosures, and other customer-facing legal documentation
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar
- 6+ years of legal experience with significant focus on regulated financial technology companies
- Strong working knowledge of payments regulation, digital asset custody, and related frameworks
- Experience supporting the launch of regulated financial products, ideally across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with limited resources
- Experience working with financial institutions and structuring legal partnerships
- Familiarity with corporate governance practices
Nice to have
- In-house experience at a fintech or digital asset company preferred

- It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and each compensation decision is dependent on each individual case.
