Responsibilities

  • Designs and executes plans and activities to ensure that MSM meets or exceeds the requirements of Magna's Energy and Sustainability Standards and Targets. Continually delivers projects that improve cost and reduce environmental impact.

  • Stay in contact with other Energy and Sustainability Champions of Magna as well as the Corporate and Group Energy and Sustainability leads
  • Deliver and deploy a Carbon Net-Zero Plan in line with the Magna Net-Zero Playbook
  • Lead a cross-functional team to deliver on Magna's Sustainable Development goals
  • Lead monthly Energy and Sustainability Team meeting
  • Develop business case/calculate ROIs for energy and sustainability projects
  • Support Engineering team with additional duties
  • Operate and manage an expense budget

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading energy or sustainability projects in industry.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with PC based computer software, eg.
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skill and an ability to work within and meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to preserve confidential nature of assignments.
  • Must be able to travel between locations
