Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-litigation and litigation disputes and devise creative resolution strategies with the assistance of outside counsel, as needed
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, other members of the Legal team, the People Partner team, and with external counsel
  • Assist the Legal team on employee-related matters in privacy initiatives, customer agreements, vendor agreements, partner agreements, and outside opportunities.
  • Lead and/or assist with other projects as business needs arise

Requirements

  • 6+ experience in employment law
  • Experience with California employment law (or a willingness to dive in and learn)
  • Experience with employee-related privacy;

Nice to have

  • JD degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar (CA, NY, IL or TX preferred)
  • Experience at a reputable law firm (some in-house legal department or secondment experience preferred)

Compensation

  • Actual base salary (or
  • OTE if commissionable role) is dependent upon factors such as:
  • United States Pay Range
  • $205,000 - $235,000 USD
