About the role

  • Process Engineer PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating, through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities.
  • We have an opportunity at our Martinez Refinery in California and are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our team as pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy.
  • Process Engineers are assigned to and work closely with their operations department, while reporting directly to the Process Engineering Group.

Responsibilities

  • optimize unit performance and yields
  • Provide support for non-routine events including turnarounds, maintenance, troubleshooting, and projects
  • Support the change management process through evaluation of operational and equipment modifications
  • Interface with internal departments and external resources to provide unit support and identify opportunities

Requirements

  • STEM degree OR equivalent experience in a refinery
  • Occasionally an altered work schedule over an extended period may be required (maintenance outages and turnarounds)
  • Candidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card.

Nice to have

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineer ing
  • 3 years of experience in a refinery
  • 401(k) plan with company match
