About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for robotic applications, ensuring functionality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to integrate mechanical designs with electronic and software components.
- Conduct hands-on prototype building and testing, analyzing performance data to iterate on designs.
- Utilize a variety of manufacturing processes and materials to optimize designs for performance and efficiency.
- Participate in design reviews, presenting design concepts and demonstrating prototypes to stakeholders.
- Manage documentation related to project plans, design specifications, and testing procedures.
- Practical experience in building and testing mechanical systems

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects and designs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Familiarity with simulation software for stress analysis, thermal environment, and dynamics.
- In the last 5 years, just in the US, the overall market has expanded 10X from $10B to $100B, and could expand to $500bn- $1T by 2030.
- Create CAD and all documentation required for its development, build, and testing.
Compensation
- The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $164,500 per year.
- 8 paid holidays per year
