  • The Helicopter Chief Pilot is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of all helicopter flight operations, including utility, external load, patrol, and project-based field operations. This position ensures full compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture and maintaining the highest standards of

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pilot team, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and FAA regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee training programs for new and existing pilots.
  • Stay current on aviation regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to company practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a helicopter pilot, with 3 years of the last 5 years within Part 135 operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in aviation.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 135 operations.
  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3,000 hours Helicopter Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating.
  • FAA Instrument Rating.
  • FAA Part 135 Chief Pilot qualification and eligibility.
  • Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
