About the role

  • Position Summary Revere Health is seeking a motivated, customer service-oriented, licensed Pharmacist to join our busy retail pharmacy team in a full-time capacity.

  • The Pharmacist provides clinical and retail pharmacy services while ensuring medications are dispensed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, professional standards, and Revere Health policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • The Pharmacist will work collaboratively with pharmacy staff, providers, clinic teams, patients, and caregivers to promote exceptional patient care and support the growth and expansion of pharmacy services.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient medication records and make reasonable efforts to obtain relevant medication histories.
  • Support and enforce pharmacy policies related to the procurement, storage, distribution, disposal, and security of prescription drugs, controlled substances, devices, chemicals, biologicals, and other pharmacy inventory.
  • Maintain appropriate controls against theft, loss, diversion, and unauthorized access to medications and pharmacy records.
  • Support pharmacy initiatives designed to improve patient care, customer service, workflow efficiency, medication adherence, and pharmacy growth.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and patient-ready pharmacy environment.
  • Perform prospective drug utilization review, including evaluation for appropriate dosing, drug interactions, allergies, therapeutic duplication, contraindications, and other medication-related concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (R.Ph.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of and experience with basic compounding practices.
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification, if required by department or organizational policy.
  • Experience using PioneerRx pharmacy management software.
  • Experience with inventory management, controlled substance compliance, and pharmacy operations.
  • Experience supervising, training, or mentoring pharmacy technicians and interns.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy quality-improvement and medication safety practices.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (R.Ph.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or school of pharmacy. Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice. Minimum of three years of retail pharmacy experience. Knowledge of and experience with basic compounding practices. Current immunization certification, or ability to obtain certification, if required for the role or location. Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification, if required by department or organizational policy. Ability to meet all applicable licensing, credentialing, background check, and continuing education requirements. Preferred Independent retail pharmacy experience. Experience using PioneerRx pharmacy management software. Experience with inventory management, controlled substance compliance, and pharmacy operations. Experience supervising, training, or mentoring pharmacy technicians and interns. Familiarity with pharmacy quality-improvement and medication safety practices.

Action-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement, accountability, and problem solving. Working knowledge of applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, professional standards, and medication safety principles. Proficiency with pharmacy systems, electronic health records, point-of-sale systems, and standard computer applications.
  • Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed primarily in a retail pharmacy and clinical healthcare setting. Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working at a pharmacy workstation. Requires frequent use of computers, pharmacy systems, telephones, and other office or pharmacy equipment. May require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving pharmacy supplies and inventory. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff in person and by telephone.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00-6:30, Saturday 9-1 40hr salaried position
