About the role
- The primary responsibilities of the role include all aspects of processing, decontamination through set assembly, and sterilization and/or high-level disinfection.
- Dependent on the clinical setting preparation of surgical case carts and materials management may be expectations of the role.
- DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Separate and prepare contaminated instrumentation for cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and perform functional checks on instrumentation/equipment to assure proper functioning prior to set/tray assembly.
- Perform proper documentation as it relates to the sterilization/HLD process.
- Perform all duties relating to daily maintenance for all types of sterilizers/re-processors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Nice to have
- Experience in a sterile processing department Ambulatory Surgery Center experience Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPDT).
- BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy)
