About the role

  • We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Employment Hub Program.
  • The successful candidate will apply occupational therapy models to address client needs related to mental health, addictions, physical health, and daily living.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement client-centered intervention plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program development and evaluation.
  • Support clients in gaining and maintaining employment.
  • This outreach-based role works closely with the team to support clients transitioning from correctional settings into the community and into successful employment.
  • The Employment Hub is a dynamic, trauma-informed, and client-centered program designed to support adults who are currently involved in, or have had previous involvement with, the criminal justice system.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Experience working with marginalized populations, including those with mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Strong understanding of community resources and healthcare systems.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
  • Brain Story Certification considered an asset.
