About the role
- Operates ionizing radiation equipment using ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed protocols related to radiology technology for the diagnosis of various diseases and injury.
- Assumes responsibility for coordinating procedures, quality assurance and record keeping as related to departmental policy, radiation safety and attending to the patient's needs Procedures will be performed in hospital and operating room settings.
- Receive, position, and attend to patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform general diagnostic exams, including, but not limited to fluoroscopy, surgical exams, and portables.
- Perform other diagnostic radiology procedures, which may include CT and/or mammography, properly sets technique and
- Perform EKG's and peripheral vascular studies.
- Understand the principles of radiation physics and maintains both patient and operator safety.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
Nice to have
- 1-2 years of previous Radiology experience and Mammography experience
- Preferred: 1-2 years of previous Radiology experience and Mammography experience
