About the role

  • Welds and assembles metal pieces and products by using handheld welding equipment.
  • Works from specifications, drawings, and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

  • This role supports the VSP specialty product segment, with a concentration on hose.
  • Performs various fabrication procedures such as welding, cutting hoses to length, and attaching flanges, fittings, and other components for industrial customers
  • Performs standard testing to ensure leak-free weld
  • Inspects finished products for conformance to specifications and quality standards, visually or using instruments; Check for defects; Maintain product quality

Requirements

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Uses lathe/CNC to prepare end fittings as required
  • Maintains any required production logs, including lot/heat numbers for traceability
  • Must be able to perform full penetration hose attachment welds and possess knowledge of standard hose fittings

Skills

  • Sets up parts for welding utilizing hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
