About the role
- The Maintenance Tech is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment.
- Perform regular and preventive maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
- The ability to maintain a variety of machines in the factory such as plasma cutting, brake press, laser, paint line, and welding machines.
- Must possess own tools appropriate to the job being performed
- All job requirements listed indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently.
Requirements
- The position will be required to perform preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good working order.
- Maintain a clean work area as required
- Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Employees may be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by their supervisor.
Skills
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have two years of maintenance experience in a production environment
- Must know and follow standard safety practices
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge and ability to use appropriate tools related to the task.
