About the role
- These interactions determine critical factors such as energy deposition, material activation, radiation levels, and overall plant safety.
- Your work will provide the technical basis for safe, compliant, and effective fusion power plant development, making it a critical contributor to the success of the overall engineering program.
Responsibilities
- Analyses result and create source terms for other calculations
- Document everything for traceability and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced neutronics analyses to generate the key source terms and radiation data required for plant design.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with OpenMC, MCNP, or Serpent
Nice to have
- Experience in fusion energy
- Experience with inertial fusion energy (IFE)
