About the role

  • Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is hiring full-time Airport Security Guards to provide high-level security services at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.
  • Work in partnership with the Monroe County Airport Authority to keep passengers, staff, and facilities safe while maintaining TSA compliance.
  • The airport runs as an Origin & Destination facility, with peak activity during early morning departures and evening arrivals.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor airport roads to enforce TSA no-parking rules Conduct perimeter and ramp inspections Perform vehicle and delivery checks at secured gates Verify employee and contractor SIDA badges Respond to emergencies and provide first aid until EMTs arrive Maintain radio communication with Airport Communications (AIRCOM) Write incident reports and activity logs Assist travelers and manage crowds during peak hours

Requirements

  • New York Security Guard License High School Diploma Or GED Must be at least 18 years old Valid Driver's License (for patrol duties) Strong communication and observation skills
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all background checks and required training.

Nice to have

  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience CPR/First Aid certification Familiarity with two-way radio protocols
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
