About the role

The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong in GAAP (particularly ASC 606 and ASC 330), and is comfortable working cross-functionally across FP&A, sales, operations, and legal.

Perform procedures for tracking and reconciling vehicle sales, non-manufacturing cost of sales, inventory, and vehicle preorders for monthly financial and operational reporting
Own monthly close activities: journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory roll-forwards, and product line profitability reporting
Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for vehicle-related revenue and cost of goods sold
Build and maintain internal controls and scalable processes with an eye toward SOX readiness
Support external audits and assist with financial statement disclosures related to inventory and revenue
Partner with the business to develop, design, and execute the vehicle order-to-cash (O2C) process end-to-end

Evaluate new products, sales channels, and operational changes to anticipate and address accounting impacts before launch
Participate in the ERP system implementation - including drafting accounting requirements, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), and documenting test results and outcomes in detail
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CPA candidates preferred
4+ years of relevant accounting experience
public accounting experience strongly preferred
Deep understanding of ASC 606, with hands-on experience applying principal/agent determinations
Experience with inventory accounting under ASC 330, including COGS, reserves, and physical count reconciliation
