About the role
- The Vice President, Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure, is responsible for defining and executing TransMedics' global technology architecture and infrastructure strategy.
- This leader ensures that the company's technology foundations, spanning enterprise systems, digital platforms, and operational infrastructure are secure, scalable, and aligned with the company's rapid growth and global expansion.
- This role combines strategic architectural vision with hands-on operational leadership, overseeing enterprise architecture, cloud and on-premises infrastructure, IT service delivery, and vendor governance.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an Enterprise Reference Architecture that integrates ERP, Command Center, aviation, digital, and data platforms within secure and efficient architectural frameworks.
- Lead modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native services, APIs, automation, and microservices to enable agility and performance.
- Collaborate with business and functional leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable architecture blueprints.
- Drive architectural consistency and standardization across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
- Partner with the cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure all designs adhere to information security and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the 24x7 Global Service Desk and infrastructure operations teams to deliver superior uptime, reliability, and user experience.
- Oversee the design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of all cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement and maintain observability and monitoring frameworks for proactive system reliability and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, automation, and cost efficiency through data-driven operational reviews.
- Partner with regional and functional leaders (manufacturing, aviation, logistics, and digital) to ensure alignment between IT capabilities and operational objectives
Requirements
- 15+ years of IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in enterprise architecture and cloud infrastructure at the executive level.
- Proven success leading global 24x7 SaaS/Cloud operations and large-scale data center environments.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and modern infrastructure management tools.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- The role requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence across functions and geographies, and a proven track record of leading organizations through transformation.
Nice to have
- Experience leading large-scale digital or enterprise transformation initiatives within global, fast-scaling organizations.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity integration, data governance, and business continuity planning.
