Responsibilities

  • Baker Tilly Canada Capital ("BTCC") creates value for clients that seek a merger, acquisition, divestiture, or capital raise.
  • Support Directors and Partners in their relationship management, including with current and prospective clients;
  • Work alongside financial, legal and other transaction advisors to close deals and build long-term relationships;

Requirements

  • Designated CPA with 1-3 years' experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with teammates;
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and analysis;
  • Previous experience in Corporate Finance and/or investment banking considered a strong asset.
  • Interest to attain a finance designation (i.e., CBV or CFA)
  • Attention to detail and strong computer skills (e.g., Excel modeling, Pitchbook, Capital IQ or PowerPoint)
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements including the flow between the income statement and balance sheet, with exceptional analytical perception
  • Client service-oriented approach
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance to the deal.
  • Clear interest in transactions, corporate finance or corporate development

Compensation

  • $80,000 - $100,000 per annum.
  • Please note that the range detailed above reflects the base pay only and does not include our bonus program and benefits that we offer.
