About the role

Responsibilities
- Product Design Engineer - HPIQ
- Design mechanical parts, components, and assemblies for new consumer devices using 3D CAD (NX)
- Design and run experiments, applying engineering analysis and test results to guide design decisions
- Evaluate materials, manufacturing processes, and design tradeoffs to develop robust and scalable solutions
- Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, industrial design, and other engineering teams to bring concepts from ideation through development
- Conceptualize, design, and build prototypes that quickly validate ideas
- Participate in design reviews, clearly communicating design decisions, technical analysis, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build, test, troubleshoot, and iterate prototypes to identify issues and improve product performance, reliability, and user experience
- Work with manufacturing and vendor partners to iterate designs and support the transition from prototype to production
- As a Product Design Engineer at HP IQ, you'll work at the intersection of creativity, engineering, and design to develop groundbreaking devices that redefine how people interact with technology.
Requirements
- Recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design Engineering, or a related technical field
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and present work effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary product development environment
- Knowledge of a variety of materials and scalable manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, or additive manufacturing
- Experience with machine tools and prototyping equipment, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, mills, and lathes
Compensation
- $107,400-$155,700
