About the role

Review and prepare mechanical specifications.
Prepare or confirm all mechanical equipment selections using the firm's selection procedures.
Review shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and other construction changes.

Prepare Mechanical and Plumbing schematic design layout and final design.
Create and maintain mechanical equipment schedule and motorlist.
Coordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team.
Maintain good client relations.
Basic understanding of global sustainability issues and current best practices in sustainable building design.
8+ years design experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems with a spe cific focu s on industrial /wa stewat er tre atment facilit ies.
Perform and review heating, cooling, and ventilation load calculations (HAP, TAS, Excel, etc.).
Able to apply prescriptive requirements of plumbing, building, and sprinkler codes.

Experience with schematic design, equipment selection, and 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond systematically to critical situations.
University degree, college/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with P EO is required.

As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $110,000-$125,000 for this position and local market.
