Responsibilities

  • Assist with analyzing design changes and their impacts on interfacing systems. Applying effective change control principles throughout the change process.
  • May provide technical direction and guidance to engineers in applicable nuclear and non-nuclear related design standards.
  • May lead design of I&C and supporting electrical systems from system functional requirements through final design.
  • Direct I&C system leads on the processes to follow surrounding design change.
  • Lead the development of an approach for managing design changes that considers resource impacts and the design completion goal.
  • Lead audits and self-assessments for recurring design or process issues.
  • Investigate persistent cross organizational issues such as unclear ownership, late-stage requirement movement, or supplier design divergence.

Requirements

  • Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
  • B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university and 10+ years direct experience with proven instrumentation and controls systems skills.
  • Candidates must have experience in instrumentation and controls development, diagnostics, and a demonstrated ability to design and deliver industrial I&C platforms and report data accordingly.
  • Previous experience with nuclear reactor safety systems or nuclear instrumentation systems design desired but not required.
  • Familiar with IEEE and IEC standards, desired but not required.
  • Experience designing and operating high-temperature (400°C and higher) processes desired but not required.

Compensation

  • Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
  • $168,316 - $252,475
  • Salary, eligible to participate in discretionary short-term incentive payments
