About the role
- The Social Media and Content Specialist plays a key role in bringing NKPR's and our clients' stories to life across a range of digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute content calendars and write copy for social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, website, blog, newsletters, etc)
- Create engaging and high-quality content and brand-appropriate copy, including graphics, videos, and written posts, tailored for each specific platform - with a strong eye for design and storytelling
- Manage real-time posting, monitoring, and community engagement (comments, DMs, mentions)
- Lead the execution of social media and newsletter campaigns, paid programs, promotions, and strategic partnerships
- The agency is known for blending lifestyle, culture, and purpose to elevate its clients' voices and drive measurable impact.
- This role combines creativity, strategy, and execution, turning ideas into compelling content that inspires engagement and builds community.
- Working collaboratively with PR and marketing teams, the Social Media and Content Specialist develops and manages content that aligns with brand objectives and drives meaningful results online.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in social media copywriting and content creation for editorial or brand accounts
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and brand objectives
- Highly creative thinker with proven ability to turn concepts into compelling content and campaigns
- In-depth knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, engagement strategies, and platform best practices
- Familiarity with Toronto's event, marketing, and PR landscape is an asset
- Proficient in design and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
