Responsibilities

  • Front-line manager for Dispensing Operations to deliver critical raw materials and components to the manufacturing facilities across the Thousand Oaks campus. Work with Production Scheduling to resolve operational issues.
  • Manage a team consisting of 10-14 Dispensing Operators comprised of Amgen and external contractor staff.
  • Collaborate with the Development Supply Chain and Manufacturing Plants to meet the ever-evolving needs of the business through development of new capabilities and process improvement projects.
  • Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Exemplify Amgen values and set meaningful goals driving the business and the individual to contribute to the overall Amgen business.
  • The Distribution Center Manager will be accountable for leading ATO Dispensing Operations and lead or support Supply Chain Manufacturing initiatives collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, and Process Development.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree
  • Master's degree and 3 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Associate's degree and 10 years of Supply Chain experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Experience with GMP operations from Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, and / or Supply Chain perspective.
  • Ability to set clear goals and effectively prioritize staff workload.

  • Technical Expertise: Experience with GMP operations from Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, and / or Supply Chain perspective.
  • Accountability and Autonomy: Ability to set clear goals and effectively prioritize staff workload.
  • Able to apply DAI (Decision, Advise, Inform) model and make risk-appropriate decisions.
