Responsibilities

  • 65%- Perform laboratory techniques and data analysis under the PI's direction. Assist in the training of student workers and graduate students as it becomes necessary.
  • The WAE Research Associate hired for this position will perform laboratory techniques and data analysis under the PI's direction, help maintain zebrafish colonies in compliance with all animal care policies, and support routine lab operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • All candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment.
  • 10%- Help with lab maintenance and other support duties as required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Toxicology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biological Engineering, or Chemistry
  • and 1-year of previous work in a research lab as a student worker or volunteer.
  • Special and Physical Qualifications:
  • Requires standing, sitting, bending, reaching (above shoulder), reaching (below shoulder), and lifting less than 50 pounds.
