- Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design & develop mechanical system solutions based on engineering principles.
- Utilize project management skills to track projects through all phases of design to production.
- Develop DFMEA and PFMEA's for products and solutions to minimize project risks.
- Participate in peer-to-peer design reviews and provide critical feedback to colleagues.
- Create and manage SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, and assemblies.
- Manage top level assemblies in a PDM system environment.
- Coordinate with manufacturing operations to develop and implement DFM and cost reduction design actions.
- Ensure resulting design drawings/documents meet all Building, Construction and Mechanical code requirements.
- Ability to use engineering analysis tools (FEA, Thermo, CFD, etc.) for design validation.

Requirements
- Support design decisions with analysis and calculations, as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the design conforms to specifications required for the implementation of Bloom Energy fuel cell systems.
Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- High level of accountability - proactive and persistent with the skills and disposition to take a project from beginning to end.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter and desire to learn new things.
- An entrepreneurial spirit is essential.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple project and priorities.
- Excellent SolidWorks CAD knowledge.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and drafting of mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and/or facility maintenance as it related to mechanical assemblies is desired.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
Compensation
- $134,500.00 - $193,500.00
