About the role
- The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care.
- This role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and maximize independence in the comfort of their homes.
- The PTA is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, educating patients and caregivers, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement prescribed therapeutic exercises, treatments, and interventions.
- Maintain compliance with agency policies, Medicare guidelines, and federal regulations.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Document routine visits, discharge visits, evaluations, recertifications, and resumption-of-care visits within 24 hours.

Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of PTA experience in an acute care setting.
- Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.
- Knowledge of physical therapy best practices and standards of care.
