About the role

  • This role is responsible for managing and reconciling various general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

  • This is a hybrid position based in our Woodland Hills, CA office.

Responsibilities

  • Cash - a) reviewing daily cash transactions b) maintaining balances between accounts c) prepare account transfers d) journalize various cash transactions, from fees to payments to interest expense e) prepare weekly payment batches and validate bank details for approx.
  • Payables - maintain payable aging for operational refunds.
  • Internal Controls - Maintain and improve existing internal controls over areas of involvement

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
  • Ability to think independently and exercise judgement in proposing solutions to issues encountered on a day to day basis
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to think outside the box when problem solving
  • Ability to work in teams

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamix 365 is a plus

Skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and IFSUM formulas)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Compensation

  • Prepare supporting documents and schedules for quarterly and annual audits
  • Salary range $34.00 - $40.00 an hour determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
