About the role
- Job Description: The CPSGT is accountable for performing, coordinating, and documenting physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders.
- The CPSGT, working with minimal supervision, provides care and education to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other health care professionals.
Responsibilities
- Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
- Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic sleep studies.
- Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies, using various modes of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy interventions.
- Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
Requirements
- Specific certifications or skills as required by facility or patient population (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP)
Nice to have
- Clinical or patient care experience
- If working in Idaho, PSGT Permit issued by the Idaho State Board of Medicine
- Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
- May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.

Compensation
- Obtain 10 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) related to sleep medicine annually.
