About the role

  • Ensure that materials are filed chronologically by year and accession number
  • Open monthly standing orders and record items in the inventory logbook
  • Pull specimen containers designated for additional testing

Responsibilities

  • Our faculty collaborate with oncologists and surgeons to customize each patient's treatment based on an individual diagnosis and are actively involved in developing new diagnostic tests to improve diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of cancer patients.
  • File/retrieve microscopic slide and paraffin blocks correctly and maintain them in an organized manner
  • Maintain accurate and complete records

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED

Skills

  • Able to work effectively in an energizing environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond to changing priorities
  • Capable of performing tasks with a high degree of accuracy and setting priorities to see projects through completion
